![]() It doesn't loose initial freehand spontaneity like just using the pencil tool from the start, but it's really inconvenient and time-consuming. Right now the best option I can come up with is drawing with the blob brush, then manually tracing over those lines again with the pencil tool, then using the width tool to mimic and tweak the twists and turns of the original natural freehand drawing. But I've got no idea where to start even thinking about making this work. The fact the Blob Brush exists proves Illustrator can turn pressure data into numerical widths and adjustments to point on a path, so in theory it should be possible to convert this into the nodes the Width tool adds to a path instead of the anchor points on an area shape.
